Petitioner has approached this Court seeking quashing of a Show Cause Notice dated 04.05.2024 and proclamation dated 06.05.2024, passed by the Respondent No.1, asking the Petitioner to vacate the Chamber No.D519. 2.
The facts, in brief, are that in 1998 the Petitioner's father - Late Shri Mohinder Kumar Chawla had been allotted Chamber No.D-519, Lawyer's Chamber Block, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi. It is stated that the Petitioner completed his law degree in 2007 and got enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi and also became Member of the Shahdara Bar Association in 2008. 2022. It is stated that in terms of the Chamber Allotment Rules, the Petitioner is entitled to succeed to the Chamber of his father. It is further stated that the Petitioner has been regularly paying the maintenance charges of the Chamber. It is stated that a notice dated 04.05.2024 was received by the Petitioner on 07.05.2024 and a proclamation has also been received by the Petitioner asking the Petitioner to vacate the chamber in question. 3.
Material on record indicates that prima facie the Petitioner is entitled to the Chamber in question.

Material on record also indicates that the Petitioner has given a representation dated 09.05.2024 to the Respondent No.1. 5.
Learned Counsel for Respondent No.1 submits that the representation of the Petitioner will be considered by the Chamber Allotment Committee and appropriate orders will be passed.

Respondent No.1 is directed to decide the representation of the Petitioner as expeditiously as possible.

In view of the fact that the representation of the Petitioner is being considered, the Petitioner be not evicted from the Chamber in question till the representation is decided.

The Writ Petition is disposed of with liberty to the Petitioner to approach this Court if the representation of the Petitioner is not considered by the Respondents.

It is made clear that this Court has not made any observations on the merits of the case.
