This hearing is being conducted through hybrid mode. CM APPL. 13394/2025 (for restoration) in CONT.CAS(C) 287/2024 CM APPL. 13393/2025 (for restoration) in CONT.CAS(C) 799/2024 2.

These applications have been moved for restoration of the Contempt Petition No. 287/2024 and Contempt Petition No. 799/2024 which was disposed of vide order 02.12.2024.

The long and short of the position is that vide order dated 02.12.2024, an undertaking was given by the Respondent to pay a sum of Rs. 65,01,000/-. Evidently, Rs. 36 lakhs had already been paid, leaving the balance of Rs. 29,01,000/-. A schedule was drawn, whereby the balance amount was agreed to be paid by way of Postdated cheques. It is submitted by the Petitioner that certain Post-dated cheques have since been dishonoured, and therefore, these contempt petitions have been filed.

However, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that yesterday a development has taken place and the Respondent has handed over a Demand Draft in the sum of Rs. 16,00,000/- and also a cheque for Rs. 2,00,000/- towards the balance amount. 6.

As requested, let these matters be taken up for hearing on 17.07.2025.
