O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 386/2024 By way of the present petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of three months. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 12.05.2024.

Issue notice.

Mr.N.Prabakar, learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and has graciously consent to the extension of the mandate. are at the stage of cross-examination of the respondent's witnesses. It is further submitted that the respondent has cited four witnesses who are yet to be examined.

Considering the aforesaid request and the no objection given by the other side, the present petition is allowed, and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of three months from 12.05.2024 from today. Further, the period lapsed from 12.05.2024 till date is also regularised.
