On 08.05.2025, the following order was passed: "W.P.(C) 6165/2025
2. This petition has been filed challenging the Order dated 22.01.2025 passed by the learned Central Administrative Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi in O.A. No. 3471/2023, titled Radha Charan Dixit v. Science And Technology, reducing the cost imposed on the petitioners from Rs.17000/- to Rs.10000/-.

The petitioners are still aggrieved of the Impugned Order and have filed the present petition, stating that Dr. Chaudhary Shamsuddin Khan, Advocate, who entered appearance for the petitioners and was regularly appearing in the above OA claiming to be authorized by the petitioners to appear in the same, was, in fact, never authorized and was never given any authority vakalatnama to appear for the petitioners. It is claimed that the petitioners were not even aware of the pendency of the above O. A. before the learned Tribunal.
4. As this is a serious allegation made against a counsel, issue notice to the respondent as also to Dr. Chaudhary Shamsuddin Khan, Advocate, returnable on 24th July, 2025.

Dr. Chaudhary Shamsuddin Khan, Advocate, in response to the Show Cause Notice, shall be entitled to file an affidavit explaining his authority to appear in the above O.A. for the petitioners and the steps taken by him to seek instructions from the petitioners on the same. 6. In the meantime, the Impugned Order, insofar as it imposes cost of Rs. 10000/- on the petitioners, shall remain stayed. However, this shall not be considered as a stay on the further proceedings in the above-mentioned O.A."

The only issue before this Court is as to whether the Petitioners are liable to pay cost of Rs.10,000/-.

In view of the detailed order passed on 08.05.2025, the cost of Rs.10,000/- is hereby waived.
