The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, stating that they have got married out of their own free will and contrary to the wishes of the family members of petitioner no.1.

The petitioners state that they have been receiving threats from the family members of petitioner no.1 and this has led them to seek police protection.

Respondent no.5, the father of petitioner no.1, is present in Court and states that the petitioners have no danger from him or other family members. He assures this Court that neither he nor his family members would cause any harm to the petitioners. He is bound down to the said statement. 3.

The State has filed the status report, which indicates that the S.H.O.,

Police Station Maurya Enclave has taken steps to ensure protection of the petitioners.

He has provided contact numbers of the Beat Staff and the residence of the petitioners is being visited regularly. 4.

This Court had, by an order dated 09.07.2019, directed the S.H.O., Police Station Shahbad Dairy to ensure that necessary protection is provided to the petitioners but since the petitioners have now shifted their residence to a locality within the jurisdiction of Police Station Maurya Enclave, the S.H.O. of the said Police Station shall provide such protection, as he considers necessary, within his jurisdiction. 5.

No further orders are required to be passed in this petition. 6.
