The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the respondents to issue a fresh passport recording his correct place of birth.

It is stated that the petitioner's application in this regard is pending consideration and he has not received any communication from the passport authorities in this regard. 2.

In view of the above, respondent no.2 is directed to consider the petitioner's request for the correction of his place of birth. Respondent No. 2 shall also consider the averments made in the present petition as a representation on behalf of the petitioner and take an appropriate decision in this regard within a period of six weeks, from today. 3.

The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. 4.
