A Petitioner under Section 528 BNSS has been filed on behalf of the Petitioner to issue directions to learned JMFC for expeditious trial of Criminal Case No.430411/2016, FIR No.08/2014 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Dwarka North. 4.

It is submitted that the Chargesheet had been filed in this case on 05.07.2016 and the Charges got framed on 06.06.2019. The evidence in this case got stalled on account of COVID-19 Pandemic. is still pending at the stage of cross-examination of PW1 pending for more than ten days. There are 14 witness in all. The Petitioner is permanent resident of Pinjore, District Kalka, Haryana. It is submitted that the Petitioner is suffering due to the protracted trial. Therefore, directions be given for expeditious disposal.

Considering that it is a case of 2016 and only part cross-examination of PW1 has been concluded till date, directions are hereby issued to the learned JMFC to conclude the trial expeditiously and as far as possible within one year.
