% 28.07.2016 On the complaint of respondent no. 2, present FIR No. 53/2016 under Sections 325/506 IPC was registered at Police Station Malviya Nagar against the petitioner. Charge-sheet is stated to have been filed. However, petitioner and respondent no. 2 have already settled their disputes. perusal of FIR shows that a quarrel started on some trivial matter on the occasion of Lohri. During verbal altercation, petitioner picked a piece of wood and hit the respondent no. 2. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Mahipal Singh, P.S. Malviya Nagar. Respondent no. 2 submits that FIR may be quashed in view of the settlement.
Keeping in mind that parties have settled their disputes, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 53/2016 under Sections 325/506 IPC registered at Police Station Malviya Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to petitioner depositing cost of `20,000/- with Lawyers Welfare Fund of Delhi High Court Bar Association within two weeks and receipt thereof be deposited with the Investigating Officer.
