seeking directions to the respondents to approve the Ration Card application pending before the respondents and also to provide the appropriate quantity of ration as per the norms immediately to the petitioner and family members. The petitioners have made the following prayer:- a) Issue a writ of mandamus or any appropriate writ, order, or direction(s) thereby directing the Respondent Authorities to approve 'ration card application', issue a ration card and disburse appropriate quantities of ration as per norms immediately and urgently to the petitioner and her family.

b) Issue a writ of mandamus or any appropriate writ, order, or direction(s) thereby directing the Respondent Authorities to provide that appropriate quantities of ration as per norms to the petitioner and her family till the application of ration card is approved;

c) Pass such other orders as may be deemed fit in the facts and circumstances of this case.

Mr. Anuj Aggarwal, ASC, GNCTD for the respondents submitted the report dated 05.04.2024 wherein, it is mentioned that the Food Supply Inspector, Circle-08 (Mundaka) and Food Supply Inspector, C-11 (Nangloi), Delhi visited the residence of the petitioners on 21.11.2023 and 04.12.2023 respectively and both the petitioners were found ineligible for NFS Card and their family income was found to be more than Rs.1 lakh. It is further stated that the petitioners are not entitled for issuance of Ration Card. 3.

In view of the report dated 05.04.2024, the present petition is disposed of with the liberty to the petitioners to submit the representation along with the necessary documents for reconsideration of Food Supply Inspector Report which is stated to be submitted on National Food Security Portal on 06.12.2023 and 05.12.2023 respectively within 04 weeks and thereafter the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

respondents are directed to consider the representation to be filed on behalf of the petitioner within 04 weeks with a speaking order and also to communicate the final outcome of the representation to the petitioner within 02 weeks. The petitioner shall also be at liberty to take the plea of grant of allowance as per section 8 of the National Food Security Act, 2013 read with Rule 2(c) of the Food Security Allowance Rules, 2015. 4.

The Additional Standing Counsel for the respondent no. 1/GNCTD is also directed to place the copy of the report dated 05.04.2024 on record within 02 weeks from today.
