% 05.03.2018 CRL.M.A. 4091/2018 CRL.M.A. 4091/2018 is an application filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking exemption from filing certified copies of the annexures. The same is allowed, subject to just exceptions. The application is disposed of.

CRL.M.C. 1131/2018 Vide the present petition, the petitioner Ajay Verma s/o Sh. Bhagwan Dass Verma arrayed as the accused seeks quashing in relation to the FIR No. 27/2017, registered at PS Hauz Qazi, under Sections 354A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 submitting to the effect that a settlement has been arrived at between the parties. The respondent no. 2 also does not oppose the prayer made by the petitioner seeking quashing and states that the petitioner has CRL.M.C. 1131/2018

apologized to her and that she has since been married in November, 2017 and she has no grievance left against the petitioner and has further submitted that the petitioner was under the influence of intoxication on the date of the incident.

The petitioner in reply to the specific Court query submits that there are no previous adverse antecedents against him and submits that he has also apologized to the respondent no. 2.

Taking into account the statement of the respondent no. 2 as there appears no reason to disbelieve the statement made by the respondent no. 2 that she has made the statement voluntarily of her own accord without any duress or coercion from any quarter and the factum that the respondent no. 2 has recently been married in November, 2017, it is considered essential to put a quietus to the litigation between the parties to maintain peace and harmony between them in as much as the petitioner and the respondent no. 2 are neighbours as also for the well being of the respondent no. 2. In view thereof, it is thus considered appropriate in the interest of justice that the prayer made by the petitioners seeking quashing of the FIR No.

27/2017, registered at PS Hauz Qazi, under Sections 354A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom is allowed and thus the FIR No. 27/2017, registered at PS Hauz Qazi, under Sections 354A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom against Ajay Verma s/o Sh. Bhagwan Dass Verma are quashed.

The petition is disposed of.
