Dalbir Singh Sohi v. Punjab & Sind Bank & ANR.
$~73 * IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI CM APPL. 39707/2018 in + W.P.(C) 8614/2003 DALBIR SINGH SOHI ..... Petitioner Through: Ms.Geetanjali Mohan, Adv.
versus PUNJAB & SIND BANK & ANR.
..... Respondents Through: Mr.Jagat Arora, Mr.Rajat Arora and Mr.Niraj Kumar, Advs.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE C.HARI SHANKAR
O R D E R
% 26.09.2018 The judgement in this case was pronounced on 17th August, 2018.
This application seeks grant of interest on the amount awarded by the said judgement on the consequential reliefs granted by the said judgement to the petitioner.
It seen, from the prayer clause in the writ petition, that it only seeks quashing of the orders dated 17th February, 2000, read with the corrigendum dated 6th June, 2000, the order dated 18th August, 2000, the order dated 15th June, 2002 and acceptance of voluntary retirement of the petitioner with all consequential benefits. I am unable to countenance the submissions of Ms. Geetanjali Mohans to the effect that all consequential benefits to Prayer-D in the writ petition would extend to awarding the interest as well. In the circumstances, no case for modification in my judgement
dated 17th August, 2018, is made out.
This shall not, however, preclude the petitioner, if so advised, ventilating his grievance regarding the interest by way of separate substantive proceedings, which could be decided, on their own merit. C.HARI SHANKAR, J SEPTEMBER 26, 2018 bh
