% 02.02.2018 Petitioners are seeking quashing of FIR No.0012/2017 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC at Women Cell, Nanakpura on the complaint of respondent no.2. Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 got married on 31.5.2015. They have now been divorced by mutual consent by a decree dated 10.11.2017. A wholesome settlement has been arrived at between the parties. By virtue of which petitioner has agreed to pay a of Rs.5 lakhs to respondent no.2 in full and final settlement of her all claims of which Rs.3.5 lakhs already stands paid and Rs.1.5 lakhs has been paid today by petitioner no.1 to the respondent no.2 (who is present in Court). Her presence has been identified by her counsel as also by the Investigating Officer. Parties endorse the terms and conditions of the

settlement. Parties admit that no child has born from their wedlock. This is a fit case where the prayer made in the petition should be allowed. Accordingly, FIR No.0012/2017 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC at Women Cell, Nanakpura on the complaint of respondent no.2 and all the proceedings emanating therefrom stand quashed.

Petition disposed of.
