Petitioner was granted Parole vide Order dated 09.04.2025 in W.P.(CRL)1005/2025 till 13.05.2025. Thereafter, present Writ Petition was filed seeking extension of Parole of the Petitioner on the ground that spinal surgery was required to be performed to remove bullets embedded between L4-L5 vertebra, which was tentatively scheduled for 20.05.2025. 2.

This was further extended vide Order dated 29.05.2025 till 09.06.2025, noting that he has undergone Hernia surgery. Again, Parole was extended till 21.07.2025.

Learned Senior Advocates for the Petitioner submit that surgery for removal of embedded bullets is likely to take place on 09.08.2025 and therefore, interim parole be extended till then. 5.

Latest medical documents have also been filed on record, wherein OPD Consultation Receipt dated 17.07.2025 of Fortis Hospital issued by Dr. Hemanth Kumar, states that surgery for Hernia was done on 09.06.2025 and he was not able to state anything about the bullet removal surgery, as he was not the treating Doctor.

From the medical reports of the Petitioner, it is evident that this bullet is embedded in the spine for the last 20 years and there is no clear indication of the date when the surgery can be performed. Rather, what appears from the Medical Report is that this surgery can be undertaken only when the Petitioner is in a fit state of health.

Considering all the circumstances, no further extension of Parole is justified.

Learned Senior Advocates for the Petitioner submits that ten days' time be granted to the Petitioner for surrender. 10.

Considering the submissions made, parole is extended till 27.07.2025 on the same terms and conditions, on which he shall surrender on 28.07.2025 before the Jail Superintendent.
