Through the present application, the petitioner seeks preponement of the date of hearing of CRL.M.C. 3305/2025.

In view of the facts submitted in this application, the matter is heard, and the date of hearing is preponed.

the petitioners praying for quashing of FIR No. 68/2025 registered at Police Station Maurice Nagar for the offences punishable under Sections 115(2)/75/79/126(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter "BNS").

The brief facts of the case are that on 17.04.2025 at about 2:30 PM, respondent no. 2, a 3rd-year law student at Campus Law Centre, Delhi University, was recording a video outside the college when a group of 8-10 men assaulted her, attempted to snatch her phone, abused her, tried to force her into a car, and subjected her to sexual harassment including being bitten on the hand by petitioner no. 1, and harassed by petitioner nos. 2 and 3. The accused allegedly threatened her, used obscene language, claimed they knew her home address, and attempted to abduct her before fleeing when bystanders intervened. Pursuant thereto, the present FIR was registered. 7.
It is submitted that the petitioners and respondent no. 2 have amicably resolved their disputes and are now moving forward towards a peaceful and harmonious future.

It is further submitted that on 22.04.2025, the petitioners and respondent no. 2 formally settled their differences, pursuant to which respondent no. 2 gave a written statement to the Investigating Officer stating that she is no longer interested in pursuing the impugned FIR and requested that no action be taken therein. Subsequently, on 01.05.2025, respondent no. 2 also furnished her No Objection Affidavit, reaffirming her consent to the quashing of the said FIR. Qua this affidavit, the respondent no. 2 has agreed to withdraw the case arising out of FIR No. 68/2025 registered at Police Station Maurice Nagar against the petitioners. It is prayed by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties that the instant FIR may be quashed on the basis of the compromise. 10.
Learned APP for the State, who appears on advance notice, accepts notice and submits that there is no opposition to the prayer made by the petitioners seeking quashing of the FIR in question in view of the settlement arrived at between the parties.

Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 12.
The petitioners are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer, Police Station Maurice Nagar. Respondent no. 2 is also present in the Court and has been identified by her counsel and the Investigating Officer.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise on his own free will and without any pressure. It is also stated by him that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties.

Keeping in view the fact that the matter stands amicably been settled between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 amicably without any pressure, no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the matter pending. 15.
It is, thus, in the interest of justice to quash the afore-mentioned FIR and the proceedings emanating therefrom.

Hence, in light of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court passed in Gian Singh v. State of Punjab (2012) 10 SCC 303, FIR bearing no. 68/2025 registered at Police Station Maurice Nagar for the offences punishable under Sections 115(2)/75/79/126(2) of BNS, and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed qua the present petitioners.
