Vide the present petition, petitioner seeks direction thereby for quashing of FIR No.154/2017 dated 20.4.2017 u/s 406/498A/34 IPC, registered at PS - Kalkaji, Delhi and all other proceedings arising therefrom. 2.

Notice issued.

Notice is accepted by learned APP for State and by respondent No.2 and with the consent of counsel for parties, the present petition is taken up

for final disposal.

The present petition is filed on the ground that parties have settled their disputes and respondent No.2 has no objection if the present petition is allowed.

Petitioner and Respondent No. 2 got married on 04.2.2013 as per Sikh rituals and ceremonies. Due to temperamental issues arose between the parties, as per the claim of respondent No.2, parties started living separately from 23.9.2016, however, as per petitioner they started living separately from 1.12.2016.

Respondent No.2 is personally present in Court for hearing through video conferencing, who has been identified by SI Dinesh, submits that the matter has been settled and she does not wish to prosecute the matter any further.

Petitioner and respondent No.2 have entered into an amicable settlement vide settlement deed dated 21.10.2019 8.

Taking into account the aforesaid facts, this Court is inclined to quash FIR as no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting petitioner any further.

For the reasons afore-recorded, FIR No.154/2017 dated 20.4.2017 u/s

406/498A/34 IPC, registered at PS - Kalkaji, Delhi and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

The petition is, accordingly, allowed and disposed of. 11.
