O R D E R

% 18.07.2019 The present petition has been instituted praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus; to direct the Delhi Police to locate and produce Ms. Priya Seni, the daughter of the petitioner Mr. Munna Lal, before this Court.

Subsequent upon issuance of notice, by this Court on 11.07.2019, the Delhi Police has located and produced Ms. Priya Seni before this Court, today.

Mr. Rahul Mehra, learned Standing Counsel (Criminal) states that, after her recovery by the Delhi Police, Ms. Priya Seni has been handed over to the care and custody of her parents. We have interacted with Ms. Priya Seni, as well as, her parents,

namely, Mr. Munna Lal and Mrs. Asha in Chambers, today. Ms. Priya Seni has expressed her clear desire to reside with her parents and resume her studies.

The parents on their part, have undertaken to provide care and protection to Ms. Priya Seni and provide her with all the resources, encouragement and support, as may be needed by her to secure her well-being and future.

The undertaking given by her parents is hereby, accepted, directing them to comply therewith, without demur. In view of the foregoing, the present habeas corpus petition is allowed, permitting Ms. Priya Seni to reside with her parents at their home in Pocket-A-593, J.J. Colony Phase-II, Madarpur Khadar, New Delhi-110076.

Ms. Priya Seni need not be produced before the Jurisdictional Child Welfare Committee, any further, since she has been sent to the care and custody of her parents.
