By the order dated 03.07.2024, this Court had noted that the applicant requires some extra medical attention than what is being provided in Tihar Jail. This Court considered the reports placed on record and directed that the applicant be taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences ('AIIMS'). In case, AIIMS is not in a position to provide treatment to the applicant, the Jail Superintendent was given liberty to get the applicant admitted in any other specialized hospital, including a private hospital.

It is pointed out that the AIIMS has refused to admit the applicant.

In view of the above, the Jail Superintendent is directed to get the applicant admitted and treated in Apollo Hospital, the expenses for which shall be borne by the applicant. incidental expenses that may be incurred by the State for travelling and security etc. shall also be borne by the applicant. 4.

It is made clear that the applicant remains in the custody of the Jail Superintendent concerned throughout the period and the wife of the applicant is permitted to meet the applicant, subject to rules of the hospital and permission of the treating doctor. 5.

No further orders are required to be passed in the present application at this stage.

The present application stands disposed of.
