% 27.01.2025 CRL.A. 214/2014 CRL.A. 222/2014 CRL.A. 223/2014 CRL.A. 730/2014 Mr. Pankaj Kumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the CBI has handed-up a copy of the Status Report dated 24.01.2025, which confirms that the appellant has passed-away on 17.03.2024. The status report is taken on record.

By way of the present applications filed under section 394 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973, the applicant, who is the wife of the deceased appellant, seeks release of the FDRs deposited towards surety with the learned trial court, on the ground that since the appellant has passed away and the appeals stand abated, the surety bond furnished be discharged and the FDRs be released to her. 4.

Mr. Pankaj Kumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the CBI on advance copy; accepts notice; and does not oppose the relief sought. 6.

In view of the appeals having been abated, the applications are allowed. The surety bond furnished by the applicant is discharged; and it is directed that the FDRs deposited with the learned trial court(s) be returned, alongwith upto date interest, to the applicant within 02 weeks of such request, after verifying her credentials. 7.

The applications stand disposed-of.
