The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that his request for being permitted to resign from service is pending with the respondents since September and November 2024.

He has drawn our attention to an order passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court on 16 November 2022 in WP(C) 15706/20221, whereby, in a similar case, the respondents were directed to dispose of 1 Rajesh Pandian v Director General Coast Guard Headquarters W.P.(C) 6323/2025 Signed By:AAKANSHA SHARMA 16:21:11

the petitioner's application seeking resignation within a time-bound frame.

Accordingly, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the respondents to take a decision on the petitioner's application within a period of four weeks from today and to communicate the decision to the petitioner forthwith.

Should the petitioner continue to remain aggrieved by the decision, his rights in that regard shall remain reserved. 5.

The writ petition is disposed of.
