W.P.(CRL) 329/2018 Petitioner is seeking parole for the reasons mentioned in the petition. One such reason is to maintain social ties and also to get admission of his young daughter who has to be admitted in the school for the first time.
Status report has been filed. The address of the petitioner as recorded in the nominal roll has been verified. The nominal roll of the petitioner further reflects that he is a convict under Section 392 of the IPC. He has been sentenced to undergo RI for a period of 7 years and to pay a fine of Rs.20,000/- in default of payment of fine to
undergo SI for 6 months. The nominal roll, as on 22.01.2018, shows that the petitioner has undergone incarceration of almost more than 4 years which included remissions earned by him. His jail conduct is satisfactory. He has availed parole even on an earlier date. He has not misused his liberty.
Accordingly, petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks (to be counted from the date of his release) on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendant concerned. The petitioner shall report in the local police station on each Monday of every week. He shall also furnish his latest mobile number and address in the concerned police station. Petition disposed of.
A copy of this order be sent to Jail Superintendant for intimation to the petitioner.
