already been granted a new water connection and the task is now to lay a pipeline from the existing connection to his premises. 2.

The DJB has filed a status report to which the petitioner has filed his objections. However, it is not necessary to enter into the controversy between the parties as Ms. Rhea Verma, learned counsel for DJB, states that the connection can be established, upon the petitioner bearing the costs of laying the pipeline and excavation charges. The petitioner has expressed his willingness to do so in his affidavit dated 30.08.2024. Mr. Kanwar Udai Bhan Singh Sehrawat, learned counsel for the petitioner, also confirms that he is willing to do so.

3.

In view of the aforesaid, the parties are directed to coordinate for this purpose. DJB will inform the petitioner as to the amount to be deposited and if any other formalities are to be completed, within three weeks from today, and the pipeline will be laid as expeditiously as possible upon the formalities being completed. 4.

The petition stands disposed of with these directions. The next date of hearing 19.03.2025, stands cancelled.
