The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent nos.1 and 2 to provide adequate security to the petitioner and to take steps to secure their lives. It is stated that petitioner nos.1 and 2 have married contrary to the wishes of the certain family members of petitioner no.2 (respondent nos.3 to 6). The petitioners state that respondent nos.3 to 6 have been threatening to them and they are under constant fear about their safety of life. 2.

Respondent nos.5 and 6 are the paternal grand father and paternal grand mother of petitioner no.2. Respondent no.3 is the younger brother of respondent no.2's father and respondent no.4 is his wife. It is stated that the parents of petitioner no.2 reside overseas.

Notice in the said petition was issued on 16.07.2019 and the State was directed to file a status report. Further, interim orders were passed directing SHO, PS Rajouri Garden to ensure protection to the petitioners through beat staff and in case of any specific complaint to take necessary action in accordance with law.

A status report has been filed, which states that the petitioners have been provided the mobile number of the chauki incharge, Subhash Nagar and the beat staff has also been properly briefed to provide necessary protection to the petitioners.

It is also noted that no complaint has been received from the petitioner.

In view of the above, the ad interim orders passed on 16.07.2019 are made absolute.

The concerned SHO is directed to provide the necessary interim protection to the said petitioners in terms of the order dated 16.07.2019.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 7.
