O R D E R

% 11.07.2016 1.

The present petitions have been filed by the Association of Safai Karamcharis seeking the relief of timely payment of their salaries. The court has been monitoring timely payment and directions have been passed to the concerned authorities from time to time.

Mr. Rahul Mehra, learned Standing Counsel for GNCTD submits that government has been and is taking adequate steps to resolve the issue of timely payment of the salaries to the Safai Karamcharis. 3.

Learned Counsel for the respective Corporations submits that salaries of Safai Karamcharis upto June, 2016 have already been released/paid. 4.

Resultantly, the present writ petitions are disposed of with the following directions:- (i) The Corporations shall pay the monthly salary of the Safai Karamcharis under their control on or before 10th of every month w.e.f. August, 2016;

(ii) The Corporations will submit the compliance report before this Court on the 11th of each month. In case, the 11th day of the month happens to be a holiday, then the compliance report will be furnished on the 12th day of the month;

(iii) The failure to comply with the above said directions shall entail initiation of contempt proceedings.
