This petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (in short, 'Cr.P.C.') praying for a direction to the learned Additional Sessions Judge, South-East District, Saket Courts, New Delhi (hereinafter referred to as the 'Trial Court') to expedite the trial of the case bearing SC No.163/2017 titled State v. Naseer & Ors. arising out of FIR No.696/2007 registered at Police Station:
Sarita Vihar, New Delhi under Sections 147/148/149/186/353/332/307/436/120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (in short, 'IPC') read with Section 3 of Prevention of Damages to the Public Property Act, 1984.

The petitioner complains that though the above FIR was registered in the year 2007 and was committed to the Sessions Court for trial with the first date of listing before the learned Trial Court on 03.12.2016, the trial has not proceeded and it is still at the stage of hearing arguments on the framing of charge.

The Status Report also indicates the same. It also shows that the matter is being repeatedly adjourned at the request of one party or the other.
4.
Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of requesting the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial of the case bearing SC No.163/2017, titled State v. Naseer & Ors., arising out of FIR No.696/2007 registered at Police Station: Sarita Vihar, New Delhi under Sections 147/148/149/186/353/332/307/436/120B of the IPC read with Section 3 of Prevention of Damages to the Public Property Act, 1984, and not grant any unwarranted adjournment to any of the parties.
