The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the Investigating Officer be directed to complete the investigation within a definite time frame and file a charge-sheet before the concerned Court. 2.

Mr Lao, learned ASC appearing for the State states, on instructions, that the task of completing the investigation has now been assigned to Inspector Prakash Roy.

He is present in Court and states that he will complete the investigation within a period of four months from today. He is bound down to the said statement.
