% 28.08.2024 1.
This is a petition filed under Section 29A (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of one month for passing the final award. 2.
It is stated that the matter has been heard and reserved for orders but due to a family issue in the family of the learned Arbitrator, the matter could not be proceeded further.
3.
On the last date of hearing, Mr. Gaurav Khanna, learned counsel for the respondent appeared and sought time to file reply. 4.
Today there is nobody appearing for the respondent and no reply has been filed on their behalf.
5.
For the reasons noted above, I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay.
