The present proceedings have been listed on an Office Note, in view of a communication dated 21.01.2026 received from the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, East District, Karkardooma Courts, seeking an extension of time for completion of the trial. 2.

The captioned petition was disposed of by an order dated 04.09.2025 with the following direction:

"4. In these circumstances, the learned Trial Court is requested to decide the matter within a period of three months, under intimation to this Court, subject to the condition that neither of the parties will seek unnecessary adjournments before the learned Trial Court." 3.

The learned Chief Judicial Magistrate has stated in the aforesaid communication that the Court was vacant until 18.10.2025 and that the matter was not at the stage of final arguments, but at the stage of defence evidence. It is also stated that several applications remain pending. 4.

Vali, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. Having regard to the facts mentioned above, the time for completion of the proceedings, including the pending applications, is extended for a period of four months from today. It is made clear that the parties have undertaken not to seek unnecessary adjournments before the learned Trial Court. 5.

No further orders are required to be passed.
