The instant petition filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeks quashing of FIR No. 712/2024 registered under Section 376(2)(n)/506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and all proceedings emanating therefrom.

The petition is premised on a purported settlement between the Petitioner and the victim. Since the victim is presently a minor, the petition is supported by an affidavit of legal guardian/ mother of the victim. 3.
