O R D E R

% 02.02.2018 Respondent no.2-Ms. Arhat Chhabra is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by ASI Jai Kishan of police station Mangol Puri. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 vide Deed of Settlement dated 18th March, 2017 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent by the Family Court, North West District, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi on 22nd December, 2017. Petitioner no.1 has paid `1 lacs to the respondent no.2 today in Court through the demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no.2 submits that with this payment entire settled amount of `3 lacs stand paid

and she has no objection in case FIR is quashed against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 4. Affidavit of respondent no.2 is also on record at pages 29-31.

Keeping in view that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 voluntarily and respondent no.2 has no objection in quashing of the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 853/2016 under Sections 498A/406/354/506/34 IPC registered at police station Mangol Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
