This so called public interest litigation has been preferred with the following prayers:

"a. Direct the Respondents to ensure safety & security of citizens of Delhi.

b.

Direct the Respondents to control the situation by adopting appropriate steps to maintain law &order in Delhi.

c.

Pass such further or other orders, which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case in the interest of justice." W.P.(CRL) 1960/2019

Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the crime in Delhi is increasing day by day and hence CCTV cameras should be installed in all the places in the NCT of Delhi so that the crime rate can be reduced. 3.

Having heard the counsel for the petitioner and looking to the nature of prayer made in this writ petition, we see no reason to entertain this writ petition. We have also heard counsel appearing for respondent No.2. It is submitted by the counsel for the respondent No.2 that enough/adequate steps are being taken by installing CCTV cameras at the necessary places and even otherwise there is enough police force, which can take care of safety and security of the residents of NCT of Delhi and maintain the law and order situation in the capital.

The prayer made in this writ petition is too general in nature. Hence, we see no reason to give any direction to the respondents. Even otherwise also the functioning of the police and installation of CCTV cameras are already going on. We see no reason to give any further directions so far as prayers in the writ petition are concerned.
