This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator for a period of six months w.e.f. 01.04.2025.

Disputes having arisen between the parties in relation to an Agreement bearing No. 62/EE/PWD/CRMD M-313/2013-14 for work of 'improvement of drainage system Polo Road, Kalyan Vihar Road and Vijay Nagar Road upto Najafgarth Drain', Petitioner filed a petition in this Court O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 388/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. under Section 11(6) of 1996 Act being ARB. P. 219/2023 seeking appointment of a Sole Arbitrator, which was allowed on 10.03.2023 appointing the Sole Arbitrator.

It is stated that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage where Claimant has to make a statement whether he wants to lead oral evidence as pleadings stand completed. Mandate of the Arbitrator is stated to have expired on 01.04.2025.

Issue notice.

Ms. Rachita Garg, learned counsel for the Respondent accepts notice and on instructions, submits that the Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the learned Arbitrator. 8.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended by a period of nine months from 15.05.2025 and period between 02.04.2025 to 14.05.2025 is regularised. 9.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
