By this petition, the petitioners seek a direction to the Standing Screening Committee of the respondent to take a decision regarding the petitioners' candidature.

Learned Counsel for the petitioners relies on order dated 1 April 2025 passed by this Bench in WP(C) 4029/20251, in similar circumstances.

In the said case, we had directed the Standing Screening Committee to take a decision on the petitioners' application within a period of eight weeks.

Mrs. Archana Sharma, learned SPC for the respondents, is agreeable to this writ petition being disposed of in similar terms. 5.

Accordingly, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the respondents to treat the present writ petition as a representation and pass a speaking and reasoned order thereon within eight weeks from today. Ordinarily, no extension of time would be granted. 6.

The decision as and when taken would be communicated forthwith to the petitioners.

Should the petitioners continue to remain aggrieved, their right in law shall remain reserved.
