This petition is preferred on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator. 4.
It is stated in the petition that evidence was concluded on 24.04.2024. Vide order dated 01.08.2024, learned Arbitrator extended the mandate by six months with the consent of the parties whereafter final arguments were heard on 27.03.2025 and award was reserved. Extension of the mandate of learned Arbitrator is sought by 03 months to enable the learned Arbitrator to pass and publish the award.

Issue notice.

Ms. Pragya Barsaiyan, learned counsel for the Respondent accepts notice and, on instructions, submits that Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the learned Arbitrator. 7.
Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended by a period of 03 months from 16.05.2025 and the period from the date of expiry of the earlier mandate till 15.05.2025 is regularized.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
