% 01.02.2018 It is submitted that petitioner (husband) and respondent no.2 (wife) have settled their disputes amicably and started living together, therefore, FIR No. 874/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Sultan Puri may be quashed.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Ramesh Kumar of police station Sultan Puri. She submits that she has settled her disputes with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, inasmuch as, started living with him for more than 3 years. She has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.

Since the husband and wife have started living together after resolving their differences, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
