The present proceedings are instituted under Section 482 Cr.P.C. on behalf of the petitioner seeking quashing of FIR No. 748/2023 registered under Sections 323/341/307 IPC at Police Station Rajouri Garden, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.
The allegations in the present matter relate to repeated beatings given to the complainant at the hands of her husband. 3.
Mr. Aashneet Singh, learned APP for the State, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is the only accused and respondent No.2 is the complainant/victim in the present case. He further states that present is a case arising out of a matrimonial dispute. He submits that the petitioner and respondent No.2 are husband and wife and he states upon instructions that the petitioner and respondent No.2 are now living together. that the matter is still pending investigation. 4.
Learned counsel for the petitioners confirms that the petitioner and respondent No. 2 are husband and wife and submits that after sorting out their differences, they are now living together. He states that the present FIR was registered due to misunderstanding and with the intervention of family members and friends, parties have amicably settled their disputes and an affidavit of respondent No.2 in this regard has been placed on record. 5.
The petitioner and respondent No.2, who are present in Court, have been identified by their counsel as well as the I.O./ SI Abhishek PS Hari Nagar, Delhi who is present in the Court.

The petitioner has shown remorse for his conduct and undertakes not to repeat the same in future. Respondent No. 2 also states that she has settled all her disputes with the petitioner out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion and that she is now living with the petitioner for the last two months. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and considering that no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed. 9.
