O R D E R

The present petition raises a grievance as regards illegal/unauthorized E-Rickshaw parkingat Uttam Nagar East Metro Station near Himalaya Sagar Restaurant.

A complaint is stated to have been submitted by the petitioner to the Deputy Commissioner, MCD wherein it was brought out that the said area is used for illegal parking of E-Rickshaws and certain amounts are also being extorted from the E-Rickshaw owners in lieu of making parking space available to them. It is submitted that there is a rickshaw mafia which is operating in the area and which collects money and thereafter puts a sticker on every rickshaw for the purpose of identification, it is only thereafter that the concerned rickshaw is permitted to be parked in the area. 3.
After some hearing, respective counsel for the parties are in agreement that the present petition be disposed of with the directions to the Deputy Commissioner, MCD of the concerned District and the Deputy The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Commissioner, R. P. Cell, MCD to jointly inspect the area in the presence of the petitioner and the SHO/R2 and thereafter decide the complaint of the petitioner by passing a speaking order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

Let the aforesaid joint inspection be carried out within a period of one week from today and a speaking order be passed on the petitioner's complaint within a period of 3 weeks thereafter. 5.
In case the petitioner is aggrieved with the outcome of the aforesaid exercise, he shall be at liberty to avail appropriate remedies in accordance with law.
