W.P.(C) 8028/2019 Issue notice. Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice. Though it is argued that this Court has no territorial jurisdiction to entertain the present petition since respondent No.2 is situated at Shilong, we do not find any merit in this submission.

The grievance of the petitioner is with regard to the non-receipt of fixed medical allowance. The communication dated 23.01.2019 issued by

the respondents to the petitioner's counsel acknowledges the fact that the petitioner is entitled to medical allowance. It also records that the bank, namely State Bank of India has to take necessary action for releasing the allowance. The petitioner has placed on record the communication dated 27.07.2017 issued by respondent No.2 to the State Bank of India, Pali Gunaditya Branch, District Almora, Uttarakhand instructing it to release the fixed medical allowance to the petitioner. Despite that being the position, the same has still not been released to the petitioner. We dispose of this petition with a direction to both the respondents to ensure that the said fixed medical allowance is released without any further delay and positively within the next six weeks. It shall be the responsibility of the respondents to ensure that the State Bank of India releases the said amount. In case of non-compliance, it shall be open to the petitioner to initiate proceedings for contempt. Dasti.
