The petitioner runs the business of restaurants by the name of "Dhaba Estd. 1986 Delhi" at premises Plot No. 5, B-Block, Inner Circle, Connaught Place, New Delhi-110001. Its grievance in this petition is against a show cause notice dated 22.10.2020, by which the respondent directed the petitioner to show cause as to why the premises should not be sealed on account of violation of Section 331 of the New Delhi Municipal Council Act, 1994 i.e. for want of license.

Mr. Yoginder Handoo, learned Additional Standing Counsel for New Delhi Municipal Council, states that the license in question has been granted on 08.07.2024 for the period ending 31.03.2027. 3.

has, in my view, been rendered infructuous. The petition is therefore disposed of.

Mr. M.A. Niyazi, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the respondent had raised an objection that there was no sanctioned plan in respect of the premises, and this question may come up again when the petitioner seeks renewal of the license. It is made clear that the rights and contentions of the parties are reserved, in the event, a similar question is raised by the respondent in connection with renewal of the license.
