O R D E R

% 05.02.2016 The present is a petition under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India read with Section read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Cr.P.C.) praying as follows:- "It is, therefore, prayed that the Hon'ble Court may kindly pass an order or issue appropriate directions directing the respondent no.6 to 8 not to cause harassment or interference in the peaceful life of the petitioners and respondents no.6 to 8 be directed to maintain the petitioner no.1 due to handicapped be allowed to remain in the house and petitioner no.2 be allowed to enter into the house of the petitioner no.1 in order to take his care as well as not cause harassment to the petitioners and other family members of the petitioner no.2 and may kindly further directions be given to the respondents no.1 to 5 to take care of the petitioner no.1 time to time and provide the protection to the life and liberty of the petitioner and /or pass any appropriate order or directions deem fit in the present case in the interest of justice.

Any other further relief or order as the Hon'ble Court deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case be also granted to the petitioner."

Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, on instructions from the latter submits that the only relief that he prays for in the present petition is a

direction to the police to afford him adequate protection in view of the circumstance that he is blind and aged.

Mr. Lao, learned Additional Standing Counsel (Criminal) appearing on behalf of the police on advance notice states that in view of the aforesaid, they shall provide adequate police protection to the petitioner at his residence. The beat constable of the concerned area shall also be sensitized in this behalf. The telephone number of the SHO of the concerned police station as well as the beat constable shall be provided to the petitioner in order to enable the latter to contact the former in the event of any threat or apprehension. Ordered accordingly.

In view of the direction that is being issued in the present petition, I do not think necessary to issue notice to respondent Nos.5 to 8 in the present petition.

With above directions the writ petition is disposed of. Dasti.
