CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIBHU BAKHRU

% 22.10.2019 CRL.M.A. 38894/2019 1.
This is an application seeking modification of the order dated 31.07.2019 whereby the petitioner's application for release on furlough was accepted.
2.
The petitioner was directed to be released on furlough for a period of three weeks on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹20,000/- and a surety of the like amount. The petitioner states that he does not have the wherewithal to furnish a personal bond of the said amount and requests that the amount of personal bond be reduced to ₹10,000/-. He further states that he can arrange for one surety only. He also prays that the requirement of furnishing of two persons as sureties be also modified. 3.
Insofar as reducing the personal bond amount is concerned, this Court
accedes to the petitioner's request. Accordingly, the order dated 31.07.2019 is modified to direct that the petitioner would be released on furlough for a period of three weeks from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with two sureties in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent. 4.
There is no requirement to relax the condition of providing two sureties as the petitioner's son and his wife can stand as sureties. All other conditions as set out in the said order dated 31.07.2019 are also required to be complied with.
5.
The application is allowed in the aforesaid terms. VIBHU BAKHRU, J OCTOBER 22, 2019 pkv
