Undisputedly the order under Section 148 of the Income Tax Act, 1961 was passed as far back as March 2023. 2.

In view of the aforesaid and the evident laches, we find no justification to entertain the challenge as raised in the instant writ petition. It shall accordingly stand dismissed. 3.

This order, however, shall be without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the writ petitioner-assessee in the ongoing assessment proceedings.
