The instant writ petition under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed on behalf of the petitioner for seeking parole for a period of two months. Status report is on record. Factum of his mother's admission in the hospital has been verified and confirmed.

Nominal Roll dated 06.02.2018 reveals that the petitioner was convicted under Sections 302/201/120B/34 IPC and was sentenced to undergo imprisonment for life with fine `25,000/-. Crl.A.98/2012 was dismissed by this Court on 14.09.2012. Nominal Roll further reveals that the petitioner has already undergone twelve years, ten months and seven days incarceration besides remission for one year, ten months and fifteen days as on 06.02.2018. Earlier he was granted furlough on various occasions and there are no allegations of its misuse.

In the interest of justice and to enable the petitioner to assist in getting the treatment of his mother at the time of surgery, he is granted two weeks parole from the date of his release, on his furnishing personal bond in the sum of `40,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Trial Court. After completion of parole period, the petitioner shall surrender before the Jail Superintendent.
