The present petition has been filed by petitioner seeking that the respondent / Sub-Registrar VIII (Geeta Colony, Delhi) be directed to complete the formalities for registration of the sale deed dated 17.03.2025 in favour of the petitioner in respect of property bearing no. N-29, Flat No. 1, Upper Ground Floor, Gali No.1, Khichripur, Delhi-110091. 2.

It is submitted that the sale deed was presented for registration on 17.03.2025 vide receipt no. 4367; however, the completion of formalities has been held up on account of alleged discrepancies. It is submitted that the same is unreasonable and there is no occasion for the respondent to withhold the registration of the sale deed.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the only reason for delay in completion of formalities for registration of the above mentioned sale deed is that the concerned Sub-registrar is in the process of verifying the existence of Khasra Number with regard to which the sale deed has been sought to be registered.

Learned counsel for respondent further submits that as soon as the verification process is completed, the necessary formalities shall also be completed for registration of the above mentioned sale deed. Let the said exercise be done within a period of 4 weeks from today. 5.
