The present petitions have been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of FIR No.381/2013 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 at The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
Police Station Gokul Puri, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their dispute. Since both the case emanate from the same FIR, the present petitions are being considered together. 2.
The present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No.2(wife) and petitioner No.1 in CRL.M.C. 5694/2023 (husband) and other relatives of petitioner No.1 (who are the petitioners in CRL.M.C. 8483/2023).
Mr. Ritesh Kumar Bahri, learned APP for the State, submits that w.r.t the present FIR, the petitioners are the only accused persons and respondent No. 2 is the only complainant/victim. He further states that there are two children out of the wedlock and also that the husband and wife are currently living together. Respondent No.2 also confirms the same and states that she has been living with her husband since the last three/four years. 4.
Learned counsels for the parties state that the parties have settled their dispute vide Settlement Agreement/Memorandum of Understanding dated 25.09.2023, and that consequent to the same, the husband and wife have been living together. In terms of the settlement, respondent No.2 is left with no claim or grievance against the petitioners. They further submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties. 5.
The petitioners and respondent No. 2, who are present in the Court, are identified by their respective counsels as well as by the Investigating Officer/ASI Manvir Singh PS Gokul Puri, Delhi. 6.
Respondent No.2 also states that she has entered into the aforesaid Agreement out of her free will, volition and without any coercion. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertaking made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
