The petitioner has approached this Court for direction to renew a license in respect of Shop No. 10, Prithviraj Market, Lok Nayak Bhawan, New Delhi and for permission for change of trade. At the time the petitioner approached the Court, the shop had been sealed. It has been desealed pursuant to an order of the Court dated 06.10.2021. 2.

During the pendency of the petition, the respondent has also instituted proceedings against the petitioner under the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 ["the Act"] which remains pending. Mr. Akshay Verma, learned Additional Standing Counsel for New Delhi Municipal Council states that the writ petition may be disposed of, subject to the result of the proceedings before the W.P.(C) 11338/2021 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Estate Officer. He states that subject to the petitioner continuing to pay the current license fee, the respondent will maintain status quo with regard to the shop until the disposal of the proceedings under the Act. 3.

The parties will thereafter be bound by the orders passed by the Estate Officer or any proceedings arising therefrom. 4.

In view of the above suggestion, which is also acceptable to learned counsel for the petitioner, the petition is disposed of by binding the parties to the aforesaid undertaking. All pending applications also stand disposed of.
