It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the period of conducting proceedings before the arbitrator expired on 26th January, 2018 and seeks extension of time. It is submitted that the arbitration is at the final stage and the claimant has completed arguments on claims and that the respondent has to argue.
In the circumstances, the period for conducting the arbitration proceedings is extended for nine months. The arbitral tribunal shall be at liberty to impose cost on the party which delays the matter. The petition stands disposed of.
