This Court, in W.P.(C) 7692/2023, has held that a writ petition seeking electricity connection, directly filed before this Court, may not be entertained unless the grievance has first been raised before the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF).

The prayer in the instant writ petition relates to restoring of electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner along with other consequential reliefs.

There is nothing on record to indicate that the petitioner has approached the CGRF or any other appropriate forum before approaching this Court.

Accordingly, the Court disposes of the instant writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to approach the CGRF in accordance with law within a period of 15 days from today.
