This hearing has been done through hybrid mode. 2.

The present petition has been filed on behalf of the PetitionerRaymond Ltd. under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the ld. Arbitral Tribunal. 3.

The background of this case is that the Petitioner initiated arbitration proceedings against the Respondent seeking recovery of Rs. 1,21,86,474/-. Subsequently, vide order dated 15th July, 2021 in ARB. P. 61/2021 the Court referred this case to the DIAC for arbitration of the disputes. The ld. Arbitral Tribunal entered reference and held its first sitting on 17th February, 2022. Issues were framed on 9th January, 2023. The mandate of the ld. Arbitral Tribunal expired on 1st March, 2024. 4.

Ld. Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the matter is at the stage of final arguments.
