This petition has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal which is in seisin of disputes between the parties, arising out of a contract dated 27.06.2018.

The Tribunal was appointed by an order of this Court dated 22.03.2022 in ARB.P. 98/2022. The mandate of the Tribunal was extended by a period of six months, by mutual consent of parties, and is stated to have expired on 22.03.2024.

It is submitted that the proceedings are at the stage of final arguments.

In view of the above and with the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a period of six months from today, i.e., until 23.11.2024.
