W.P.(C) 8137/2019 and C.M. No. 33755/2019 The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition to seek a direction to the respondents to consider her case for grant of compassionate appointment on account of the death of her husband in harness in the year 2003. The petition shows that the petitioner's case was repeatedly considered over the years and rejected, inter alia, on the ground that no vacancy was available. The petitioner, it seems, lives under the impression that compassionate appointment is a regular source of recruitment, which it
is not. The immediate and urgent financial stringency that the petitioner faced at the time of demise of her husband in the year 2003 does not survive any longer.
We, therefore, do not find any merit in this petition. Dismissed.
